Great shaver and great service, John - 15th March 2010

I'm really very pleased with the product - it gives me a good close shave - and doesn't miss any hairs in the neck (in fact much better than my previous braun did); it's comfortable to hold and a good feel against the skin.

My only little niggle is the position of the trimmer. So, a good product and the service of www.shavers.co.uk is second to none. I ordered late on Wednesday evening, and it was delivered on Friday morning - brilliant!

Well, what can I say? I ordered the shaver on-line, mid-afternoon yesterday and it arrived by first class post this morning (kudos to Royal Mail here too also) despite there being almost 8 inches of snow on the ground.

The shaver was half the price being asked at Boots, it came with a free gift, a very useful nose/ear hair trimmer and arrived, superbly packaged, in less than 24 hours. Delivery was also free of charge.

Do yourselves a favour. Believe everything you read about shavers.co.uk because it is all true.

Nice shaver a great improvement on my old Braun with a very good floating head which gives a close shave. Only two small niggles. The on/off button is awkwardly placed making it difficult to use in the ready to shave position in your hand. Secondly the trimmer has a nice curved blade which works well but is placed well down the back of the shaver which means the head blocks your view of what you are trimming.

Disappointed to find that the so-called "top of the range" has become rather second rate with cheap and nasty plastic see-thru case and no longer do Braun supply a foil cover, which makes the sensitive foil head vulnerable.

Hitherto Braun have always supplied decent black leather/synthetic leisure carry cases and foil covers but clearly they are economising. The razor itself is satisfactory ...

The demise of the leather pouch is becoming fairly widespread with most manufacturers. However, while many models still feature a small plastic head guard I do tend to like the trend towards lightweight full body cases as is the situation with this Braun 720 and other Series 7 models. These not only protect the foil assembly but also the whole shaver body, while not in use or travelling. Unlike the more traditional foil guards which could fall off under duress these full body cases are very secure.

It's great to hear the feedback, much appreciated. While I like the full shaver protection concept, I agree the Series 7 implementation could do with a little high end polish, still functional though.

I am 42 years old. I cant wet shave cos it cuts me to pieces. Rotary shavers dont work for me, so i have to use a foil. On average to get a smooth face it takes me a ridiculous 45 minutes. I have owned lots of shavers over the years, including a remington triple foil, and several braun shavers.

All left me sore, with blood spots and a rash, and unable to shave more than once every 3 days AT MOST....

I purchased this braun 720 shaver a couple of weeks ago, and its incredible. I can have a 'quick dry shave' (quick by my standards) in 15 minutes for a kissable face (for my girlfriend), and a super smooth face in about 30 minutes (wetting my face copiously helps achieve the extra smoothness).

Yeh i know it still takes me ages but i have a very tough beard and the hairs conspire against me by constantly dropping back under skin level, so it takes time and skin pulling to get as close as possible.

Anyway, this braun 720 does not leave me feeling sore, not even on the kneck, chin, or the moustache area. No rash and no blood what so ever!!! Fantastic. Shame about the lack of a foil guard and the crap protection case though, hence the loss of 1 mark to get a 9. Make this shaver forever please braun. Thanks, you are genius.
